Hey there, welcome to our CCA blog.
Here is where we post our awesome works.
So, sit back and enjoy every single one of them (:
behind the scenes!
The Digital Music and Art Club of Maris Stella High School was created in 2007.
Teachers-in-charge: Mrs Roche and Mrs Goh
Chairman: See Yu Xiang
We are artists and we are here to live out loud. The Digital Musicians and Artists of Maris Stella High School seek to be on the forefront
of cutting edge and experimental digital sounds and images.
Besides taking part in various nationwide competitions,
We do undertake quite a few field trips last year to broaden our horizons and gain new insights to further our works of Music and Art.
We are also appointed as the pioneer student Art critics and contributors to the Ministry of Education Pilot Project in Edumall 2.0.
These experiences enable us to create more interesting works.
2010 has arrived, with fresh blood coming in, we say farewell to our 2009 batch and let us wish that the club shall prosper and let us win the pride and glory.

Jordan's Review of Transfinity Exhibition
Ok, so exhibition was great. The variety of artworks=AWESOME! If I have to pick a favourite, it would be the canvas painting of butterflies from the series of 12 pieces by a 12 year old girl. The 12 pieces are extracts of her journal and are meant to express her secret feelings and other stuff. All the 12 pieces were good, as they have managed the effect of hiding the artist's thoughts.
So why did I pick the butterfly one?
1. It has the ability to invoke strong feelings. (like, pins in butterflies? duh...)
2. Good colours used. The dark background allowed the brightness of the butterflies' wings to show up clearer.
3. The lack of clutter (meaning the artist didn't crowd the canvas). Just 3 butterflies were enough to bring the message across. Instead of buttefly swarms, she enlarged each butterfly to make the effect stronger.
4. Damn, because it was the first one of the 12 I could understand...
In case any of you haven't seen the particular pic I'm talking about or can't remember, it's trying to convey the message of nervouness. You know, butterflies in my stomach (or something like that). The poetry used was about the artist clutching her midriff (stomach area, she using cheem words)and trying to suppress the hateful butterflies. Leaves us to wonder as to what she could be nervous about huh?
By the way, you know how she suppress the butterflies? The painting showed pins sticking into the butterflies. WHY IS SHE SO CRUEL?! THEY'RE JUST BUTTERFLIES!
Ok, that's it. Didn't know I wrote so much...
